The Venus flytrap is a carnivorous plant that lives in bogs and swamplands. It preys on insects trapping them when the hairs on the plant are tripped. Once the trap is triggered to close multiple times, it will turn black and die off. Wants nutrient free soil.
Plant Care
- Light: Full sun or bright light
- Water: Keep the pot in standing water at all times. Never allow the soil to dry out completely. The flytrap requires mineral-free water.
- Additionally: Dies back some and goes dormant in winter.
