The butterwort, or Pinguicula is a type of carnivorous plant that catches and digests insects using its sticky leaves. The plant does this to compensate for a lack of nutrients in the soil. Wants nutrient free soil and chemical free water.
Plant Care
- Light: Full sun or bright light
- Water: Keep the pot in standing water at all times. Never allow the soil to dry out completely. Chemical free water.
- Additionally: If it is not catching insects on its own, it will need to be fed.
