Begonia robusta ‘Survivor’ lives up to its name with thick, sturdy stems and deeply colored foliage that ranges from rich burgundy to dark chocolate tones. The leaves are angular with pronounced points and subtle texture, giving the plant a bold, architectural look. New growth often emerges brighter before deepening in color, creating natural contrast throughout the plant. Overall growth is upright and compact, making it a striking foliage plant that stands out on its own without needing flowers to make an impact.

Plant Care

  • Light: Bright, indirect light; tolerates medium light but color is richest in brighter conditions.
  • Water: Water when the top inch of soil dries out; do not allow the plant to sit in soggy soil.
  • Additionally: Prefers consistent conditions and good air circulation; avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.

Pet Safety: Toxic to cats and dogs if ingested.

Price is per plant; each plant is unique and may vary in size, color, or variegation from the photo.

Shipping FAQ's

Question - Why do I get the message "We do not ship to this destination" when trying to check out?

Answer - We don't ship every plant and product variety in store. Some items are too large and some are too sensitive to ship in the mail. You are getting that message because we don't ship one of the products in your order. More than likely there is a plant or pot that is too large to ship.

Question - Do you ship plants in the colder months?

Answer - Yes we do. We do charge an additional $3 handling fee in addition to our normal shipping and handling fees from November 1 to March 1 to cover the cost of heat packs to keep the plants warm during shipment. That fee will be added automatically into the shipping fee you see charged when checking out. We do advise you to take your plant inside as soon as possible upon delivery to avoid potential damage.

Question - Is it safe to ship plants?

Answer - We do our best to ship with the proper packing materials to keep the plant(s) in as safe a shipping environment as possible. The majority of the time, plants will ship just fine.

Question - What if I have a problem with my plant upon arrival?

Answer - Email us within 7 days of your plant arriving if you have any significant damage to your plant during shipping. We will ask for some photos to show the damage, and then we can issue a refund. After 7 days, we are not able to issue a refund. Non-plants have up to 30 days for a refund.
