The Canela Tree, also known as the cinnamon plant, is related to the culinary cinnamon we know and love. In fact, bruising the leaves or stems of the Canela Tree can actually produce a faint cinnamon scent. It is characterized by its glossy, oval leaves, and its resilient nature as an indoor houseplant.
