Crassula ovata ‘Gollum Jade’, also commonly called Horntree Jade, is a distinctive succulent prized for its unusual tubular leaves that resemble tiny green horns or trumpets. The glossy, finger-like foliage often develops bright red tips when grown in strong light, adding striking contrast to its sculptural form. Over time, it develops thick, woody stems and a branching, tree-like habit, making it a favorite for bonsai enthusiasts and succulent collectors alike.

Plant Care

  • Light: Bright light to full sun encourages compact growth and enhances the red leaf tips.
  • Water: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings; avoid excess moisture.
  • Additionally: Prefers a fast-draining succulent mix and warm conditions; can be lightly pruned to maintain shape and encourage branching.

Pet Safety: Toxic to cats and dogs if ingested.

Price is per plant; each plant is unique and may vary in size, color, or growth habit from the photo.

Shipping FAQ's

Question - Why do I get the message "We do not ship to this destination" when trying to check out?

Answer - We don't ship every plant and product variety in store. Some items are too large and some are too sensitive to ship in the mail. You are getting that message because we don't ship one of the products in your order. More than likely there is a plant or pot that is too large to ship.

Question - Do you ship plants in the colder months?

Answer - Yes we do. We do charge an additional $3 handling fee in addition to our normal shipping and handling fees from November 1 to March 1 to cover the cost of heat packs to keep the plants warm during shipment. That fee will be added automatically into the shipping fee you see charged when checking out. We do advise you to take your plant inside as soon as possible upon delivery to avoid potential damage.

Question - Is it safe to ship plants?

Answer - We do our best to ship with the proper packing materials to keep the plant(s) in as safe a shipping environment as possible. The majority of the time, plants will ship just fine.

Question - What if I have a problem with my plant upon arrival?

Answer - Email us within 7 days of your plant arriving if you have any significant damage to your plant during shipping. We will ask for some photos to show the damage, and then we can issue a refund. After 7 days, we are not able to issue a refund. Non-plants have up to 30 days for a refund.
