An epiphytic tropical cactus that loves water. New growth starts out plump and grows into long, broad, flat shoots with wavy sides and spikes. Can reach lengths of 4’ at maturity. Flowers of the orchid cactus form green tubes at the base and turn into large, bright red flowers.
- Light: Bright indirect sunlight. Never full sun.
- Water: Keep soil lightly moist. Plant is not drought tolerant and does not like to experience periods of dry soil
- Additionally: Quick growing and will need replanting every few years. Never replant when flowering. Plant goes semi dormant in the winter. Reduce sunlight and watering during dormant period.
