Ledebouria socialis ‘Leopard Lily’, also known as Silver Squill, is a unique and resilient bulbous plant prized for its spotted, silver-green leaves with rich purple undersides. The foliage grows in a low, arching habit, creating a layered, textured look that stands out among more traditional houseplants. Small, delicate greenish-purple flowers may appear on slender stems, adding subtle interest above the foliage.

Plant Care

  • Light: Bright, indirect light to maintain strong leaf patterning; can tolerate some direct sun.
  • Water: Allow the soil to dry out between waterings; this plant prefers drier conditions once established.
  • Additionally: Naturally compact and low-growing; appreciates good airflow and does well in shallow containers.

Pet Safety: Toxic to cats and dogs if ingested.

Price is per plant; each plant is unique and may vary in size, color, or spotting from the photo.

Shipping FAQ's

Question - Why do I get the message "We do not ship to this destination" when trying to check out?

Answer - We don't ship every plant and product variety in store. Some items are too large and some are too sensitive to ship in the mail. You are getting that message because we don't ship one of the products in your order. More than likely there is a plant or pot that is too large to ship.

Question - Do you ship plants in the colder months?

Answer - Yes we do. We do charge an additional $3 handling fee in addition to our normal shipping and handling fees from November 1 to March 1 to cover the cost of heat packs to keep the plants warm during shipment. That fee will be added automatically into the shipping fee you see charged when checking out. We do advise you to take your plant inside as soon as possible upon delivery to avoid potential damage.

Question - Is it safe to ship plants?

Answer - We do our best to ship with the proper packing materials to keep the plant(s) in as safe a shipping environment as possible. The majority of the time, plants will ship just fine.

Question - What if I have a problem with my plant upon arrival?

Answer - Email us within 7 days of your plant arriving if you have any significant damage to your plant during shipping. We will ask for some photos to show the damage, and then we can issue a refund. After 7 days, we are not able to issue a refund. Non-plants have up to 30 days for a refund.
